European Language Label Awarded
The SIGNALL project has been recently awarded the European Award for Languages 2008. The adjudicating panel visited in June and the selection decision was made earlier in July. The European Award for Languages – the Language Label (EAL) is coordinated by the European Commission and managed on a decentralised basis by each member state and directed by Léargas in Ireland. The award ceremony takes place on September 26th 2008.
The Award is designed to recognise creative ways to improve the quality of language teaching, motivate students, and make the best of available resources. Award-winning initiatives serve as a potential source of inspiration for projects in other contexts, languages and even other countries. Projects are selected based on their innovation, effectiveness and replicability. To read more about the project please visit the SIGNALL project website at www.signallproject.com
